Note that this is not a review of the Cloud Drive service itself that has its own set of issues. The current app is little more than an interface to the Cloud Drive web site-with fewer features and capabilities than the web page itself. That app has not been distributed or supported by Amazon for over a year. The old app was a menu bar app that allowed automatic synchronization of a folder to your Cloud Drive, as Dropbox does. The distinction is subtle, but significant. To see all your photos and videos, tap All.This is not the same app as the old "Amazon Cloud Drive.app". Swipe until you get to the drawer navigation screen. Once downloaded and installed, launch the app. Just navigate to Google Play/App Store and download the Amazon Drive app (previously Amazon Cloud Drive). Whether you’re an Android or iOS user, you can import Amazon photos to Google even easier than with a computer. The Original quality option gives you the full resolution of the photos and videos that you upload, although this counts against your storage quota. With the former option, you get unlimited free storage but at reduced file size. The two available options are High-quality and Original quality.
By clicking Choose Folder, you’ll be able to import any folder on your computer to the list, at which point it will become selectable.īelow the Choose Folder menu, you’ll get to choose the upload size (quality) of the photos and videos that you’re uploading. However, these are just the default options.
In the upper part of the screen, you’ll see 3 folder options: Desktop, Documents, and Pictures. Keep in mind that you can always use the Back button to go back. In this step, you get to select which folders you want to select for backup and sync.
